February 18, 2019

Thomas Dybdahl Feels 'The Weight of a Lot of Bad Decisions' on 'All These Things': Premiere

August 21, 2018

Listen to the title track off the Norwegian singer/songwriter’s upcoming album.

It all started with a David Crosby album.

Norwegian singer-songwriter Thomas Dybdahl played the L.A. troubadour’s 1971 solo debut, If I Could Only Remember My Name, on repeat as he painted and set up gear in his new studio. Crosby’s psychedelic folk dirges inspired the initial sketches for the songs that appear on Dybdahl’s introspective new album, All These Things, whose brooding, ethereal title track premieres Tuesday (Aug. 21) on Billboard.

Madeleine Peyroux is all set to release a new album, 'Anthem' through the iconic Verve label on 31 August 2018.

June 8, 2018

Her new record finds the singer-songwriter collaborating with writers/musicians Patrick Warren (Bonnie Raitt, JD Souther, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Lana Del Rey, The Red Hot Chili Peppers), plus Brian MacLeod (Sara Bareilles, Leonard Cohen, Tina Turner, Ziggy Marley) and David Baerwald (Joni Mitchell, David and David, Sheryl Crow), who are also the basic rhythm section players on the album. Together, they cast a sober, poetic, and at times philosophical eye on the current state of the world.

Produced and co-written by Larry Klein, the album came to life during the pivotal 2016 US elections, with the writers absorbing a “constant stream of news” over many months.

February 28, 2018

Austin born, Paris based 27-year-old singer Hailey Tuck is an extraordinary talent. Her debut album on Sony ‘Junk’, produced by the legendary Larry Klein, is a 12 track masterclass in evocative, effortless, totally sublime singing.

Hailey joyously rips up the rulebooks turning jazz on its head by putting her own spin on songs by artists as diverse as Leonard Cohen (They Don’t Make It Junk), Ray Davies (Alcohol) and Pulp (Underwear). Classics from Cabaret and Leonard Bernstein rub shoulders with brand new songs. All are totally and literally addictive.

“I wanted to work with the Mark Ronson of jazz”, Hailey says. “So I looked at who had produced modern jazz singers I love, Madeleine Peyroux and Melody Gardot, in particular. That was Larry. When we met we were on the same page straight away. It was magical.”
